The latest Dayton Recovery Plan investments will support housing renovations and park improvements, following approval by the City Commission on Dec. 27.

A $1.5 million contract with County Corp will support renovations of owner-occupied homes in Dayton Recovery Plan target neighborhoods (Carillon, Edgemont, Five Oaks, Miami Chapel, Old North Dayton and Wolf Creek). Renovations will be largely exterior-focused and valued at up to $25,000 each (greater amounts may be considered). The renovations will support housing values and improve neighborhood conditions. This latest housing-focused effort follows earlier Dayton Recovery Plan investments in housing renovations, repairs and development.

Commissioners also approved a contract with Bladecutters, Inc., for installation of new playground equipment at two Dayton parks: Madden Hills (southwest Dayton) and Steele (Twin Towers). The $83,826 investment is the latest of many park improvements supported by the Dayton Recovery Plan.
