House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford has expressed strong opposition to the White House's proposed plans to limit Congress' access to classified information. In a statement released from Washington, D.C., Crawford emphasized the importance of proper handling of sensitive information.

Crawford stated, "I am furious with the repeated, blatant disregard for the very simple, proper handling of classified information." He highlighted concerns about individuals using their access to sensitive data for political or personal agendas, which he believes undermines U.S. national security and disrespects those involved in intelligence collection and support missions.

The chairman underscored that access to classified information is a privilege that requires careful safeguarding. He assured continued collaboration with the Administration to ensure Congress remains informed through appropriate committees with oversight responsibilities. Crawford concluded by calling for an end to what he described as reckless behavior.
