U.S. Representative Mike Turner, who has been serving Ohio's 10th district since 2003, recently shared a series of updates on social media reflecting on personal and professional matters. Turner's messages provide insight into his relationships with colleagues, upcoming events in his district, and legislative developments.

On May 21, Turner expressed sorrow over the death of Congressman Gerry Connolly. He stated, "I am heartbroken by the passing of my friend and colleague, Congressman Gerry Connolly." Turner highlighted their friendship formed through service together as members of the U.S. delegation to NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Later that day, Turner announced an upcoming significant event for Dayton: "Tomorrow, we officially kick off @NATODayton2025 — the first NATO Parliamentary Assembly held on American soil in 20 years." The assembly marks the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords and will bring hundreds of parliamentarians to Dayton.

On May 22, Turner commented on a legislative development regarding federal pension benefits. He noted his satisfaction with recent changes: "I am pleased to see that the manager’s amendment removes an unfair provision recalculating federal pension benefits." He emphasized this change as a victory for fairness for federal employees.

Turner was born in Dayton in 1960 and has maintained strong ties to his hometown throughout his career. He graduated from Ohio Northern University and furthered his education at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Dayton.
