Mike Turner discusses Iran policy and art competition winners

U.S. Representative Mike Turner, serving Ohio's 10th district since 2003, recently shared insights and updates through a series of tweets. Turner's posts cover topics ranging from international diplomacy to local artistic talent.

On May 4, 2025, Turner announced his appearance on CBS News' "Face the Nation" with Margaret Brennan. He invited viewers to join their conversation by tweeting " HAPPENING NOW I’m joining @MargBrennan on @FaceTheNation. Watch our conversation on @CBSNews."

Later that day, Turner expressed his stance on U.S. foreign policy toward Iran. In another tweet dated May 4, 2025, he emphasized that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons should be a key priority. He stated "Iran can never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. That should be the cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy toward Iran." During his discussion on "Face the Nation," he also noted President Trump's ongoing efforts in maintaining pressure on Iran.

In addition to international issues, Turner acknowledged young artists from his district in a tweet dated May 6, 2025. He expressed appreciation for participants in the #OH10 Congressional Art Competition and congratulated Ravyn Strozier for her drawing titled “As Sweet as a Honey Bee.” Turner wrote "Thank you to all of the talented students who participated in the #OH10 2025 Congressional Art Competition."

Turner was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1960 and has lived there throughout his life. He holds degrees from Ohio Northern University and Case Western Reserve University and has served in Congress since succeeding Tony P. Hall.
