In a subsequent post made on April 21, Turner expressed his grief over the death of the head of the Catholic Church: "I am saddened by the passing of Pope Francis, whose unwavering compassion, humility, and dedication to service touched the lives of millions around the world." He also shared a link for readers to access his full statement.

On April 22, Turner turned his attention to an upcoming event in his hometown. He posted about the upcoming NATO Day in Dayton, stating: "We’re just one month out from @NATODayton2025! Dayton is proud to welcome parliamentarians, officials, and guests from around the world for a week of dialogue focused on strengthening peace and security across the transatlantic alliance.
