Main Street between Monument Avenue and First Street will be closed starting on Wednesday, April 2. The closure is expected to last for up to five weeks. The City of Dayton has contracted the work, which involves construction within the center median and the installation of utility trenches across both traffic directions. Detours will be available to guide drivers during the closure.
"This is a necessary step," said a city representative, emphasizing the project’s importance.
The public is asked to be patient and allow extra travel time when passing through the area. The city aims to minimize inconvenience as much as possible.
