Today, Congressman Mike Turner of Ohio expressed support for President Trump's recent executive order. The order instructs the Department of Defense to create a plan aimed at defending the United States from advanced attacks.

Turner stated, "President Trump prioritizing a comprehensive missile defense architecture to protect the United States homeland is essential. This historic initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to safeguarding American lives and strengthening the security of our nation against evolving threats."

The congressman emphasized his long-standing focus on enhancing national missile defense systems in response to potential threats from countries such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. He remarked on their ongoing development of next-generation strategic weapons.

Highlighting Israel's Iron Dome system as an effective deterrent against Iran and its allies, Turner expressed eagerness to collaborate with President Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth on implementing a similar system in the United States. "Israel’s Iron Dome, jointly developed with the United States, has long been a proven, effective deterrent against Iran and its proxies," he said. "I look forward to working with President Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth to accomplish the Iron Dome for America."
