Today, Congressman Mike Turner of Ohio's 10th District expressed his sorrow over the death of former President Jimmy Carter. In a statement, Turner highlighted Carter's integrity and faith as guiding principles throughout his life.
"I am deeply saddened to learn about the death of President Jimmy Carter," said Turner. "President Carter was a man of integrity who was guided by his faith." Turner acknowledged Carter's extensive service to the nation, noting his roles as a naval officer, Georgia State Senator, Governor of Georgia, and ultimately as President of the United States.
Turner concluded his remarks by offering condolences to Carter's family: "I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Carter family."
