Today marks 200 days until the NATO Parliamentary Assembly arrives in Dayton, Ohio, for its Spring Session in 2025. Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10), who leads the U.S. delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, unveiled a welcome video created by Destination Dayton. This video will be presented to delegates at the annual session in Montreal, Canada, later this month.

“In exactly 200 days, we will welcome over 600 people to Dayton for the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session,” said Congressman Turner. “From the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center and the Dayton Art Institute to the National Museum of the Air Force, we are beyond excited to showcase our wonderful, internationally significant city for our NATO counterparts as we commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords. Thank you to Destination Dayton for creating this stunning video that perfectly encapsulates why the Miami Valley is the ideal place to host next year’s Spring Session 2025.”

Dayton Mayor Jeffrey J. The background context reveals that since its creation in 1955 as a link between NATO and parliaments of member nations—now totaling 32—the United States has not hosted a session since Orlando's Annual Session in Fall 2003 nor ever hosted a Spring Session until now with Dayton being selected under Congressman Turner's initiative aligning with historical anniversaries like those celebrated by previous assemblies.

Congressman Turner initiated discussions back in 2022 alongside Governor DeWine which culminated earlier this year when both officially announced plans confirming selection following extensive planning efforts already underway ensuring smooth operations during upcoming visits scheduled between May22-26th next calendar cycle marking yet another milestone achieved throughout decades-long
