Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) is inviting Miami Valley residents and businesses to submit logo designs for the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) Spring Session, which will be hosted by Dayton in May 2025.
“For the vast majority of NATO Parliamentarians coming to Dayton and the Midwest, their first impression will be from the logo we choose to brand the entire four-day event,” said Congressman Turner. “As this will take a community-wide effort to successfully host the NATO PA Spring Session in Dayton next year, it makes perfect sense to tap into the local, diverse talent we have in the Miami Valley for key elements throughout the planning process. I look forward to seeing the creativity and ingenuity of our residents in representing our community.”
Submissions are voluntary, with no financial compensation offered for submissions or for the selected logo. Designs can be sent to nato2025@dacc.org by August 9, 2024. Submissions should include name and contact information.
Key requirements for submissions include:
- Text must be in English and French; minimal text is recommended.
- Mention of the year rather than specific dates is preferable.
- Use of the NATO PA monogram is sufficient without adding “NATO PA/AP-OTAN” to the design.
- The finalized logo must be available in eps, jpg, and png formats.
- The chosen designer will need to complete a release form for use of the logo on all materials associated with Dayton 2025.
For access to branding guidelines including format and color schemes, visit: https://publication.nato-pa.int/communication/branding-guidelines/. Questions about submission requirements can be sent to nato2025@dacc.org.
On June 3rd, Congressman Turner was joined by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and local officials at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce to announce that Dayton had been selected as host for the 2025 Spring Session of NATO PA. Turner, head of the U.S. delegation to NATO PA, worked over two years to secure this honor coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords.
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly was established in 1955 as a link between NATO and parliaments of its now 32 member nations. The United States last hosted a session during Fall 2003's Annual Session in Orlando, FL. This marks the first time a U.S. city will host a Spring Session.
