Music and Mammograms at DML

Dayton Metro Library will host a community health fair, Music & Mammograms, at the West Branch Library, Saturday, October 8, from 9am - 5 pm.

During the event, mammogram screenings will be given between 9 am and 5 pm (registration in advance is required). From 11 am to 3 pm, featured guest speakers will provide health information sessions on topics such as breast health and cancer treatment nutrition. Private bra fittings will be available, and community resource vendors will be on hand. Other activities include music from DJ Dors E and Vibe 5, free food, giveaways, and children can receive face paintings.

All women, insured or not, are invited and encouraged to attend this program, which is sponsored by the Norma J. Ross Memorial Foundation as part of their Pink Ribbon Driven initiative. For more information about this event, and to register for a screening, send an email to info@njrmf.org or call 937.281.4829.

Also happening on Saturday, October 8, from 11 am - 3 pm, in the West Branch’s Community Room, will be #BAB22 B-Against Bullying All Star Weekend. This program is presented by The Detour Program Inc., and this year’s theme is “Bullying Inside the Village.”

International Master Life Coach Erica Gist will host this event, along with guest speakers, and they will discuss the many ways bullying impacts our communities and raise awareness to lower the number of families and kids affected by it. Lunch is included. Tickets are free, but registration is recommended, which can be done through selfloveislove.org.
