Lifeguard Training for 2022

City of Dayton issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.

Learn lifeguarding: The City of Dayton presents three lifeguarding courses leading to an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. The series must be completed within a three-

day period beginning March 21, March 28 or April 11:

March 21, 22 and 23, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

March 28, 29 and 30, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

April 11, 12 and 13, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All classes are held at the Northwest Recreation Center (1600 Princeton Dr.) Interested candidates must be at least 15 years old and able to swim front crawl and breaststroke. 

The fee is $200 unless going to work as a lifeguard for the City of Dayton, in which case the fee is waived. Contact Zach Horstman with questions or to schedule a pre-skills swim
