Today, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner issued a statement regarding the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Turner stated, "Justice has been served to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. He was the mastermind behind the horrific October 7th terrorist attack that killed more than 1,000 innocent Israeli men, women, and children." Turner expressed hope that Sinwar's death will lead to progress in releasing hostages held in Gaza and contribute to a ceasefire for Palestinians affected by Hamas' control.
