City of Dayton recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Dayton neighborhood mini-grant application process for 2022 is underway.
Mini-grants of up to $5,000 may be awarded for projects and programs benefiting neighborhoods, such as physical improvements, marketing materials, community events, and other initiatives benefiting the community and increasing organizational capacity.
Neighborhood associations, block clubs, priority boards and business associations, and other community groups already established and having a public purpose are welcome to apply. Recipient organizations are required to use grant funds to leverage a fifty percent match from other sources and in-kind contributions.
How can your organization have a successful mini-grant application? Attend the mandatory training sessions on March 24 and 31, plus April 7, 14 and 19, 5:30 to 7 p.m, at the Dayton Metro Library, 215 E. Third St. (as an alternative, trainings may be attended online, to be posted following the live sessions). Applications will be available May 9, and the deadline to submit an application is June 13, at the close of business.
