Today, Mike Turner, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, commented on the recent election of Congressman French Hill as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee for the 119th Congress.
Turner extended his congratulations to Hill, stating: “Congratulations to French Hill on becoming the next Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.” He acknowledged Hill's commitment to economic policies and financial stability, noting, “French has consistently demonstrated his commitment to advancing sound economic policies and promoting financial stability, and his deep expertise will undoubtedly serve our country well in this new role.”
Reflecting on their time together on the House Intelligence Committee, Turner remarked: “Having served alongside French on the House Intelligence Committee, I have seen up close his dedication to protecting national security and his rigorous approach to policy.” He expressed confidence in Hill’s capabilities as he assumes leadership of the Financial Services Committee by saying, “I am confident Chairman Hill will bring the same diligence, integrity, and vision to leading the Financial Services Committee.”
