DAYTON, OHIO– Congressman Mike Turner has expressed his approval of the logo finalists for the 2025 NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session set to take place in Dayton. The Dayton Chamber of Commerce revealed the finalists and their designs recently.

Three designers from Miami Valley have submitted a total of seven logo designs vying for selection as the official logo for Dayton 2025. The designers include Elizabeth Kimmel, owner of Caraway Design Company, LLC; Kim Swigart, founder and chief creative officer at DezignHive; and Josh Trippier, a member of Wright State University's marketing team.

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly was established in 1955 to act as a connection between NATO and the parliaments of its now 32 member nations. Recent additions to NATO include Finland in 2023 and Sweden in 2024. The United States last hosted an assembly session during the Annual Session held in Orlando, Florida, in fall 2003. Dayton's upcoming event marks the first time the U.S. will host a Spring Session.

In 2022, Congressman Turner began efforts to bring this assembly to Dayton, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Accords. In collaboration with Governor DeWine this past spring, Turner announced that Dayton would host the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s Spring Session from May 22 to May 26, 2025.

Turner has been involved with NATO PA since January 2009 and has led the U.S. Delegation since January 2011. He served as President of the Assembly from November 2014 until November 2016 and currently holds the position of Vice Chairman on its Defense & Security Committee.
