SPRINGFIELD, OHIO — Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) expressed his condolences on the passing of Warren Copeland, the former Mayor of Springfield. In a statement, Turner described Copeland as a dedicated public servant and a pillar of the community.

Turner acknowledged Copeland's leadership and his unwavering faith during his nearly 30-year tenure as Mayor. He highlighted Copeland's commitment to serving the people of Springfield and his passion for teaching when he was a professor at Wittenberg University.

In his statement, Turner said, "I am saddened to learn of the passing of Mayor Warren Copeland, who was a dedicated public servant to the City of Springfield." He further added, "Mayor Copeland was a pillar of our community, demonstrating true leadership and an unwavering faith throughout his nearly 30 years as Mayor of Springfield."

Turner extended his sincere condolences to Copeland's family and urged the community to keep them in their prayers. He said, "I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Warren’s family, and I encourage everyone in our community to keep the Copelands in your prayers."
