Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) held a press conference in Dayton, Ohio today to publicly recognize residents of Ohio's 10th Congressional District who have made a positive impact on the Miami Valley community. During the conference, Congressman Turner commended four individuals for their outstanding contributions.

First, Dr. Chris Colliver, Technical Advisor for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, was recognized for his exceptional service. Dr. Colliver, who has been serving in this role since 2012, has played a crucial role in revolutionizing digital intelligence analysis and modeling and simulation architectures. Earlier this year, he was honored with the prestigious Presidential Rank Award for his remarkable federal career in civil service.

Next, Chief Mike Etter, the former Chief of Police at Dayton International Airport, was acknowledged for his 15 years of dedicated service. Chief Etter began his law enforcement career in 1978 and became the chief of the Trotwood Police Department in 1993. After retiring from the Dayton International Airport, Chief Etter plans to enjoy his well-deserved retirement with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Retired Tech. Sgt. Larry Litten, along with his brother Retired Tech. Sgt. Jerry Litten, were recognized for their remarkable service in the U.S. Air Force. Larry Litten served as an aircraft repair technician stationed in Vietnam and Germany. The Litten family has an extraordinary history of military service, with all seven brothers enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and accumulating more than 130 years of service. To honor their dedication, a bench has been installed outside the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.

Lastly, Mila Gelbart, a student-athlete at Oakwood Junior High School, was commended for her outstanding achievements. Mila, who recently won the National American Miss Pre-teen pageant, represented Dayton and the State of Ohio with grace and dignity on a national stage. Her dedication to public service is an inspiration to her peers and the community.

During the press conference, Congressman Turner expressed his gratitude to each individual for their exceptional contributions to Ohio's 10th Congressional District. He highlighted their leadership and consistent efforts to better the Miami Valley region, emphasizing that they exemplify the values that set the district apart from the rest of the country.

The recognition of these community leaders serves as a reminder of the importance of individuals who go above and beyond to make a positive impact in their communities. Their dedication and service are truly admirable, and they serve as an inspiration to others. Through their actions, they have made a lasting difference in Ohio's 10th Congressional District and the Miami Valley community as a whole.
