Dayton Metro Library concludes its celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month with two monumental events for all ages to enjoy:
- Día De Los Muertos Parade
Saturday, October 22, 12-5 pm
Pre-parade festivities will begin in the northeast corner parking lot of Fifth Street and Wayne Avenue at 12 pm, with the parade beginning at 2 pm. The parade will travel through the Oregon District to the Main Library, where the celebration will continue in Cooper Park (behind the Main Library) with children’s activities, food trucks, and performances by Orgullo Mexicano and El Alacran de Durango.
- Raye Zaragoza: A Concert Celebration
Saturday, October 22, 3-4:30 pm
Main Library, Eichelberger Forum
Zaragoza has a fierce stage presence and is a confident artist who makes music to fight for, represent, and celebrate those left too long out of the spotlight. Patrons will have the opportunity to see her perform during the Día De Los Muertos Parade celebration.
