Of the 140,444 people living in Dayton in 2020, 50.5 percent (70,982) were women and 49.5 percent (69,462) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Dayton Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 392. In the 65 and over age range, there were 10,627 females and 7,659 males.
