DML and GESMV Team Up for Teen Program

3

Dayton Metro Library recently issued the following announcement.

The Southeast Branch Library will hold a program titled LifeSkills for Teens every Monday through May 9, from 2:40 – 3:40 pm. Area teens will learn how to strengthen personal self-management skills, general social skills, and drug resistance skills. This program is held in conjunction with Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley (GESMV).

“We have a huge teen presence at our Library,” said Southeast Branch Manager Mark Roma. “Teens who utilize this program with us will have an opportunity to learn important skills that could be useful well into adulthood.”

The Life Skills Through Hands-On Learning program is routinely offered to communities throughout the year by GESMV. The program at Southeast Branch Library will be tailored to meet the needs of teens between now and the end of the school year.

In addition to a provided curriculum, students will have fun with arts, crafts, games, and snacks. Registration is not required. For more information on this program visit our calendar or call the Library’s Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
