County of Montgomery recently issued the following announcement.

The Montgomery County Solid Waste District, a division of Montgomery County Environmental Services, is now accepting applications for the 2022 Beautification Grant. The grant

is offered through Keep Montgomery County Beautiful (KMCB), a Keep America Beautiful affiliate.

KMCB Beautification Grants promote community involvement and pride. Grants are open to 501(c)3 agencies, previous Montgomery County Solid Waste District grant recipients,

graffiti abatement initiatives, community garden projects, and many other community action groups.

KMCB offers up to $1,000 per project. Application criteria encourage the use of native and drought-tolerant plants, as well as increased community, volunteer and youth

involvement. Further rating criteria are outlined in the grant application.

Montgomery County established the KMCB Beautification Grant in 2010 and has since provided nearly $200,000 in funding to 266 projects. In 2021, KMCB funded 30 projects.

For more information or to complete a 2022 application, please contact KMCB Executive Director Chris Hoffman at 937-781-3064, HoffmanC@mcohio.org, or visit

www.mcswd.org. The application deadline is March 11, 2022.
