Meeting 04

City of Germantown recently issued the following announcement.

Germantown Mayor and City Council seeking candidates for vacant Council seat

Members of Germantown City Council are seeking interested persons to fill the Council seat vacated by Terry Johnson, who became Mayor on January 1, 2022. Any qualified elector of Germantown may apply.

The requirements include:

• 18 years of age,

• a resident of Germantown for one year, and

• a qualified elector of the city being registered to vote at least 30 days prior to appointment, and

• cannot hold any other compensated office or position of employment with the city or any other compensated elected public office.

Per the City Charter, since there are less than 2 years remaining in the term, the candidate will be appointed for the balance of the term, which ends on December 31, 2023.

Interested persons should email a letter of intent and biographical info/resume to Clerk of Council Kelli Novak at knovak@germantown.oh.us by January 31, 2022. The selection process will begin soon thereafter.
