How many patents granted in Dayton in week ending June 27?

There were two patents granted in Dayton in the week ending June 27, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This is four less than the week before. Patents included an alkali metal-selenium secondary battery containing a cathode of encapsulated selenium particles.

The earliest patent filed which was granted in the week ending June 27 belonged to Global Graphene Group, Inc. who filed in April 16, 2018.

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
