Wright-Patterson Afp issued the following announcement on Oct 15.
American Water will be performing annual hydrant flow testing and inspection in Areas A and B, to include Prairies and Woods Housing, during the period of 19 October through 25 November. Testing will take place during normal duty hours from 0800 - 1700. Some slight water discoloration and lower pressure can be expected during the test period.
Water discoloration caused by the natural sediment being stirred up in the water mains may appear, presenting a cloudiness or rusty appearance. This sediment may be minimized by running water faucets, water fountains, and eye-wash stations until discoloration is gone. If discolored ice is noticed in ice dispensers, dispose of the ice and allow the water to drain until it runs clear before continuing ice-making.
