72 percent of applicants to the University of Dayton were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Dayton, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Dayton enrolled 11,241 students in fall 2018, including 8,617 in undergraduate and 2,624 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

49 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 49 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (78 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 16,793 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 18 percent enrolled.
