The City of Dayton is seeking nonprofit organizations to manage its violence interruption program, with applications open until October 30. The initiative aims to address violence as a public health issue and supports efforts to make Dayton "the most peaceful city in the world."

According to the city, the ideal partner will be able to organize and oversee teams dedicated to interrupting violence, while also helping set goals and measure progress. The Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association will facilitate the process and manage the selected nonprofit partner.

Interested organizations are encouraged to apply by the deadline. An informational webinar about the application process is scheduled for Thursday, October 2 at 11 a.m.
