U.S. Representative Mike Turner, who serves Ohio’s 10th district, posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from honoring military heroes to supporting Ukraine and calling for increased sanctions on Russia.

On March 25, 2026, Turner recognized recipients of the nation’s highest military honor: “Today we honor the brave individuals who have received the Medal of Honor — our nation’s highest military award. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to this country represent the very best of the United States. “

Later that same day, Turner addressed U.S. support for Ukraine amid ongoing tensions with authoritarian regimes: “We need to support Ukraine’s effort to ensure that authoritarianism does not win. Putin and Xi want to relitigate the fight between authoritarianism and democracy, and they believe they can win. Four years later, Ukraine holds the line and authoritarianism has not won. @cepa” (March 25, 2026).

On March 26, 2026, Turner called for more aggressive action against Russia: “I support and have openly called for the United States to adopt @LindseyGrahamSC and @RepBrianFitz’s bill for aggressive sanctions including secondary sanctions against Russia and those doing business with Russia. @cepa”

Turner has served in Congress since 2003 after succeeding Tony P. Hall as representative of Ohio’s 10th District. He was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1960 and continues to reside there at age 63. His academic background includes a BA from Ohio Northern University (1982), a JD from Case Western Reserve University (1985), and additional legal studies at the University of Dayton in 1992.
