House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford has commented on a classified briefing provided to the House of Representatives regarding recent U.S. military actions in Iran. The briefing addressed strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.

Crawford expressed gratitude towards key figures involved in the briefing, stating, “I would like to thank Secretary Rubio, Secretary Hegseth, General Caine, and Director Ratcliffe for the substantive, clear, and informative classified briefing for the Members today.”

He highlighted what he perceives as a significant outcome of President Trump’s decision-making: “Walking out of the brief one thing is clear—President Trump’s decisive action established deterrence, projecting peace through strength.” Crawford noted that this action has led to silence from Iranian allies such as China and Russia.

Crawford further emphasized the need for diplomatic engagement with Iran: “It is now time for the Iranians to come to the table and directly engage with the United States to pave a path toward peace in the Middle East.”

The statement also recognized President Trump’s leadership alongside Israel’s efforts: “This is the first time in a long time the U.S. set a red line and refused to move it, resulting in unprecedented strides in the region thanks to President Trump’s leadership and Israel’s actions.”
