City of Carlisle recently issued the following announcement.

Shoveling Tip to Stop Snow From Blocking Your Driveway

After a snowstorm, you may find you have already shoveled your driveway, just to have it plowed in again once the snowplow comes through.

However, there is a way to clear your driveway and avoid the dreaded “second shovel”.

Clear a 10 ft area to the right of your driveway, which would give the snow on the plow a place to go other than your driveway.  This should keep you from having to do the same shoveling job twice.
